About the Book

Rollicking New Release from Humorous Historical Romance Author Jen Turano

Miss Gertrude Cadwalader hoped her position as the paid companion to Mrs. Davenport would be easy. But as she becomes acquainted with her employer, she realizes the wealthy Mrs. Davenport has a strange tendency to be a bit light-fingered with other people’s trinkets. Gertrude is relieved when Mrs. Davenport decides to have a quiet summer away from the social scene–until the woman changes her mind in order to help a young socialite launch into society.

When Gertrude is caught in the act of trying to return one of the trinkets by Mrs. Sinclair, the mother of shipping magnate Harrison Sinclair, the woman jumps to an unfortunate conclusion. Harrison is determined to mend fences with Miss Cadwalader, but he’s unprepared for the escapades a friendship with her will entail.

Out of the Ordinary Book Review

So much fun to read! I love Jen Turano’s books and I’ve read almost all of them.

This particular tale is about the lovable Gertrude Cadwalader and her equally curious and lovable beau, Harrison Sinclair. These two are so cute together. With their interesting fashion sense and penchant for mischief, they make a delightful and fun romantic comedy.

If you’re looking for clean romance novels or Christian romances with a touch of humor, you absolutely need this series on your reading list.

Reading one of Jen Turano’s books is always a delight and I find myself smiling the whole way through. Out of the Ordinary even extracted several spontaneous bursts of laughter.

Don’t forget to read the first book in the series, Behind the Scenes as well. While each story stands on its own, you won’t want to miss out on Permilia and Asher’s story.

Happy reading!

Content: Clean. A few chaste kisses and references to domestic abuse.

She has two books that I haven’t read. I’m just saving those for a rainy day when I’m in the mood for something funny and romantic. I love her stories!
