About Shuffle, Repeat

When Harry Met Sally for YA romance readers. This opposites-attract love story is perfect for fans of Huntley Fitzpatrick, Stephanie Perkins, and Jenny Han.
June wants high school to end and real life to begin. Oliver is soaking up senior year’s glory days. They could have coasted through high school, knowing about—but not really knowing—each other.

Except that their moms have arranged for Oliver to drive June to school. Every. Single. Day.

Suddenly these two opposites are fighting about music, life . . . pretty much everything. But love is unpredictable. When promises—and hearts—get broken, Oliver and June must figure out what really matters. And then fight for it.

My Book Review of Shuffle, Repeat

Super cute! This is probably the cutest young adult book I’ve read all year. It’s sweet and funny and snarky and everything that makes a great YA novel. June is convinced that High School is of no consequence. She can’t wait for senior year to end so that real life can begin. Oliver, on the other hand, thinks that high school is everything. He wants to soak up every last minute of this glorious last year of relative freedom before becoming an adult.

Oliver gives June a ride to school every day where they bond (argue) over music, philosophy, activities, and friends. I love their interactions. Their bantering is funny and sweet. They build a solid friendship before any romantic feelings get involved. I especially love the way Oliver teases June and goes out of his way to pester her (in a very friendly/cute way).

If you like YA and you like romance, you’ll love Shuffle, Repeat. Fair warning — the teens in this book are sexually active. It gives no details, but the act is implied. There is also quite a bit of language and innuendo.

Content: Innuendo, language (no f-words), and implied sex.

To be fair, I haven’t read many YA books this year. But yes, it’s a pretty cute book!
