My Thoughts on The Society
Ever since her father went to prison, Samantha “Sam” has been tortured by her ex-best friend Jessica. Sam’s tired of the bullying and devises a plan to topple Jessica from her social throne. It’s the perfect plan – until it falls apart.
I like the concept and the characters. Sam has some romantic adventures mixed in with her devious revenge plotting. She also learned to recognize true affection versus shallow attraction.
The Society is good, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It’s not an epic book, but it is very readable and a nice escape. I’d recommend this book if you like contemporary books or stories about revenge.
Content: language (including f-bombs), teenage drinking, and heavy kissing.
