Weekly Update (10/6/14): What I’m Reading Now

The weather has turned cooler and we busted out the fall decorations.  This is my favorite time of year!  I love snuggling up with a blanket, a mug of hot chocolate, and a good book.  Here’s what I’ve been reading:

What I read last week:

These books were all good, but my favorite was Forbidden.  Wow!  If you haven’t had the chance to read it yet, I would highly recommend that you do so when it comes out.  It’s definitely for upper YA readers, so please don’t give it to your tween.

What I’m currently reading:

I just started Destined for Doon yesterday, so I’m not too far into it.  I’m curious to see where it goes and how things play out.  Etiquette and Espionage is fantastic and so funny!  Daisy to the Rescue is a really fun book about animals saving humans.  It has some amazing stories in it.  I’ll be participating in the blog tour later this month, so keep your eye out for that.

What I plan to read in October:

Isn’t this a fun lineup of books for the month?  I will probably add some more books in there as the month progresses, but right now I’m excited to read what’s on the list.  I’m especially looking forward to the next two books in the Finishing School series, The Matmaker’s Heart, and The Woman Who Would be King.  I took an Egyptian art history class in college and Hatshepsut’s story fascinated me to no end.

What are you reading?

Forbidden is on my list and I'm so glad you loved it. I'll definitely have to read it soon! My son is reading that Janitors' book right now. Such a good series! Of course I love the Finishing School series even though I've read only the first book. I'll be reading those two in the next month or so as well. So looking forward to them! The last two on your October list I haven't seen before, but they look interesting. Have a great week!
