Stacking the Shelves #24: Meet My New Books!

Welcome to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.  This is where I share the new books I’ve gotten recently.

I am working on a new project, so I got a bunch of fun middle grade non-fiction to read.  I already read them all (other than How Come? they’re pretty short).  I also got some other books I’m excited to share with you.

Middle Grade Books:

A big thank you to Beyond Words Publishing/Aladdin for Hello from 2030, Workman Publishing Company for How Come?, Lerner Publishing Group for Making Stuff to Sell, and Harper Collins for Alien in My Pocket.  I’ve read all four of these books already and they were so much fun!  Reviews will be posted soon.

Young Adult Books:

A big thank you to BookLook Bloggers and Zondervan for sending me Destined for Doon, and thank you to Harper Collins for Forbidden!  I’m looking forward to both of these books.  Thank you to Zest Publishing for Daisy to the Rescue!  I’m excited to read about these amazing animals!

Adult/Non-Fiction Books:

Thank you to Blogging for Books and Random House for sending me Little Book of Book Making!  It’s such a beautiful book!  I finished reading it the day after it showed up on my doorstep.

I purchased On Writing Well, so it’s not a review book.  I love this book.  If you write anything, you should read this book.  It’s such a great guide for writing.  It’s intended for non-fiction writers, but I find that the advice is also relevant for fiction.

That’s it for me this week. What new books have you gotten?

Those middle-grade non-fiction books look fantastic! I might just keep 'Get A Job Making Stuff to Sell' for when my daughter is older! Hopefully my kids are as creative as I am and can make and sell things to help build up their college funds! With all the ways you can sell online these days, it'd be a perfect way for kids to make a few extra dollars and they could learn a few things about business at the same time!
