Weekly Update: What I’m Reading Now

It seems like life keeps getting busier, but that’s not always a bad thing.  The weather here in NC is beautiful, unlike my poor parents up in Canada.  They are still getting snowed on. I must admit, the giant bugs are a drawback to living in the South, but I’ll take the bugs over a 10 month long winter.

What I read last week:

I really liked both of these books.  Grave Consequences is the sequel to Glamorous Illusions, and I have fallen in love with the characters and the setting.  Synchrony is the sequel to Destiny, and again, I love this series and the characters.  I’ll be participating in the blog tour for Synchrony next week, so be sure to stop by and see my full review for that book.

What I’m currently reading:

I am still working on Shadow Hand.  It definitely is not the type of book that you can read in one afternoon, but that’s okay.  I love Anne Elisabeth Stengl’s books.  The further I get into the series, the more I love them.  My girls and I are almost finished with Sunny Sweet is SO Dead Meat.  It’s coming out this month, so I’ll have our review up for that soon.  I just started The Dyerville Tales and I’m completely hooked!  This book is amazing so far.  I can’t wait to see where it’s goes.

And lastly, because I couldn’t wait any longer to see how the Grand Tour played out, I started Glittering Promises.  This is the final book in the series, after Glamorous Illusions and Grave Consequences.  This series is completely addicting.  I love the characters and the vibrant setting.  I love the relationships that have developed between the main character and her siblings, their friends, and the people they’ve met along the way.

What I hope to read soon:

The Center of Everything WILL be read this week. That’s what I’m telling myself.  I’ve had this book for over a month, I love Linda Urban, and I have no good reason not to read it (you know, besides the time thing).  I’m looking forward to On the Fence.  I’ve read some good reviews for that book already, and it sounds promising.

What are you reading this week?
