About the Book:

This third book in Kathryn Littlewood’s
acclaimed Bliss trilogy mixes the down-home heart-punch of Ingrid Law’s
Newbery Honor Book Savvy, the always-on-the-edge-of-chaos comedy of Cheaper by the Dozen,
and a humorous magic all its own to create a thoroughly original
confection, a delicious guilty pleasure for readers of all ages.

Rose won back her family’s magical Cookery Booke in an international baking competition in A Dash of Magic,
the second novel in the series. Rose is now world famous—so famous, in
fact, that Mr. Butter, head of the Mostess Corporation, has kidnapped
her so that she can develop new-and-improved magical recipes for his
company’s snack cakes. With the magically enhanced Dinkies and Moony
Pies, Mr. Butter plans to take over the world.

Together with her
brothers, their talking cat and mouse, and an unlikely team of bakers,
Rose must overthrow Mr. Butter before he destroys civilization, one
magically evil snack cake at a time.

My Thoughts:

The only problem with the Bliss series is that every time I read one of
the books, I have an uncontrollable urge to eat cake. And cookies. Or
any other baked dessert.

This is the third installment of the Bliss series, and I sincerely hope
that it won’t be the last! The ending left me hopeful that there will be
more books. Although Bite-Sized Magic is
part of a series, it can be read on its own.  In this book, Rose is abducted by a sinister man looking to
take over the world through the use of evil baked goods. He forces Rose
to perfect the recipes until they are as evil as he is.

Packed with light-hearted humor, Bite-Sized Magic is a delicious
confection just begging to be devoured. Readers of all ages will love this
delectable tale of cake-like proportions. It is funny, quick to read,
and an all around treat! Kids will fall in love with Rose, her brothers
(Ty will be happy!), and the comical team of assisting bakers. If you are looking for a great family read, give this series a try.

Verdict: Another slice please!

So happy you like this series! I love how much food is introduced even though I'm sure I'll be hungry reading the books. I must read Bliss soon.

I couldn't stop thinking about yummy things to eat while I read this. It was terrible, really. Authors shouldn't do such horrible things to me. 😉

It's a really cute series. I think you'd like it, Adriana.
