This book is perfect for upper elementary age boys.
When I first started reading, I was afraid that it would fall into the same formulaic trap that most middle grade books do. I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Not only were the characters funny, but the story was much more interesting than your run–of-the-mill playground domination plot.
I loved the character’s names and the way each of them had very distinct characteristics. I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, and for the most part that didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the story. The only thing that would have been nice was to know the history behind each if the characters. It was generally assumed that as the reader, I would already be familiar with them.
