Looking for Books for Your Kids This Spring?

I have to admit that I am very happy with the direction that most children’s books are headed these days.  They are brighter, more colorful, and have better artwork.  The stories seem to be getting better and more original.  It is a delightful playground for authors, illustrators, and readers (both young and old).

If you aren’t convinced, just browse through some of the great books that have come out this spring.  Books like Noodle Leaves the Zoo by Nosy Crow, Sense and Sensibility by Jennifer Adams, Tea Rex by Molly Idle (one of my favorite illustrators!) and Ball by Mary Sullivan (I LOVE her books).  If those don’t convince you, just feast your eyes on Dark, by Lemony Snicket and Jon Klassen.  Two contemporary geniuses teamed up to bring us one amazing work!  I can’t wait to get my greedy little hands on a copy.

If you have children ages 8 and up, then the possibilities are endless!   There are countless books for young readers out there that will thrill, entertain, and educate them (and maybe yourself as well).

Good books are in abundance these days, and there is no better time to instill a love of reading in your children.
