About

Welcome to Batch of Books! If you are an avid reader (or your kids are avid readers), then you’ve come to the right place. This blog is dedicated to bookish things. I run it with my daughters, Miss K and Miss A. We feature book reviews, giveaways, author interviews, book roundups, bookish discussions, and a whole lot more. If you want to stay in the loop and up to date, make sure you sign up for our newsletter in the right sidebar.

If you’re an author, illustrator, or publicist, please read my Policies page for info and opportunities to appear on the blog, or click on the Hire Me page for paid options.

About Me:

ProfileI’m Dena — a mother, an artist, and of course, a huge book nerd. I started this blog in 2012 and it’s where I talk about the books my kids and I are reading (along with a few digressions).

I also write for Brightly (www.readbrightly.com) and Underlined, a teen lifestyle site. Both sites are powered by Penguin Random House and have a heavy emphasis on books and reading.

I love reading all sorts of books, but I have a special fondness for books about art, history, business, children’s books, and young adult books.

About Miss K:

Miss K | Batch of BooksMiss K is my studious nine-year-old that helps out by reading everything in sight and writing reviews. She has many interests and likes to read just about everything you can imagine. In particular, she loves graphic novels, superheroes, mysteries, humor, and nonfiction about nature, outer space, history, and science.

Miss K is passionate about books and loves writing. She also loves macaroni and cheese, baking, playing piano, and tennis.

About Miss A:

Miss A | Batch of BooksMiss A is my fun-loving seven-year-old. She helps out by giving me her opinion on books we read together and hiding her favorite books under her pillow. And in her dresser drawer. And in her night stand. And anywhere else she can squirrel one away. She loves books about animals, magical creatures, families, fairy tales, and nonfiction books.

When she’s not hiding books, Miss A enjoys gymnastics, eating, making art, and collecting garbage to hide under her bed and make into art projects later. Sometimes much later.
