Our Thoughts on Bobs and Tweets: Perfecto Pet Show

Bobs and Tweets: Perfecto Pet Show. Early chapter book for growing readers written in rhyme. It's the second book in the series and perfect for kids learning to read independently.

I was a little surprised when I opened this book up to find out that it’s written in rhyme. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a chapter book written in rhyme before, but there’s a first for everything, I guess.

The rhyme ended up working in the book’s favor. It flowed well and gave the story a natural snappy rhythm. And while the story itself didn’t blow our socks off, it was fun and quick. Plus, it has pictures on every page to keep growing readers interested and help them understand what’s happening.

Keep in mind that this book is intended for a very young audience. Kids learning to read and growing in their independence will appreciate the quirky story. My seven-year-old daughter read it and enjoyed it, but it was geared too young for my nine-year-old. The rhyme is a nice change and gives young readers a chance to practice reading to the beat.
