Welcome to the blog tour for The Make-Ahead Kitchen by Annalise Thomas! I love cookbooks and am super excited to share this one with you.

It’s always been my dream to be Super Woman. No doubt my outrageous fantasies of keeping the house clean AND cooking dinner are shared by many moms. But most days, I’m not Super Woman. Heck, I’m not even Sally that lives two doors down. I’m a crazy mom with too many books calling my name to worry about silly things like cleaning and cooking.

Dinner? What’s that?

You mean my kids want to eat food? Every day?!

I’m the kind of mom that forgets about making dinner until it’s past dinnertime. Then I start to wonder what to make. It’s why we eat so many waffles.

But I’m sick of waffles. My kids are sick of waffles. Waffles used to be good. They used to be a treat. Now I think I might puke every time I see one. So when I saw the blog tour for The Make-Ahead Kitchen, I thought, “No more waffles!”

My Thoughts on The Make-Ahead Kitchen

Am I dead? Because this feels an awful lot like heaven. Buffalo Chicken Baked Mac Cheese? Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal? Pepperoni Pizza Rolls? Yes, yes, and heck yes!

Holy smokin’ deliciousness — I am in love with this cookbook! Annalise Thomas is a chef after my own heart. This is hearty comfort food at its best with one tasty recipe after another. And the best part? These recipes are freezer friendly or intended for the slow cooker so you can make them ahead of time. Maybe being Super Woman isn’t out of reach after all.

This is the kind of hearty food my family loves. It fills your stomach and your heart. If you like to plan ahead or are able to make food ahead of time, this is a great cookbook to have.
