Weekly Update (4/3/15): What I’m Reading Now

Uncategorized

Are you ready for Easter?  I finally did some shopping and got things ready.  Thankfully, Easter isn’t a crazy busy holiday, but it does take some prep work.

Here’s what I’ve been reading.

What I read last week:

This past week was a good week for reading.  I finished several books (I’m counting board books. Don’t judge me!) and I really enjoyed most of them.  Prince of Shadows was excellent, as was Better and Faster.  My kids adore the Mini Myths series.

What I’m currently reading:

I just started Stolen Magic.  I didn’t realize it was a sequel, but that’s okay.  I’m reading A Dragon’s Guide to the Care and Feeding of Humans to my kids.  It’s so cute!  I’m still reading Percy Jackson whenever the mood strikes me, but it’s been put on the back burner for now.

What I’m reading next:

Isn’t this a fun lineup of books for April?  I’m excited to read all of them, especially Illusionarium and Crimson Bound.  I’m really interested in The Art of Work and Finding the Worm, too.

What are you reading?

Curious how you think the Dahl holds up. I decided to replace my copies of both Charlie books since the ones I had were wretched, rebound copies, but I am not sure there are many readers for them now.

I'm going off of my own kids' reactions. They loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but weren't that fond of Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. I could see how lots of kids wouldn't be interested in them, though.

I'll be reading a little bit on Easter but nothing that has an Easter theme. I just don't have any books like that.
The mini myths series looks really cute. What age are they geared towards?
Finding the Worm should be good. I still have Twerp sitting on my shelves waiting to be read!
I'm reading White Cat by Holly Black.
