Welcome to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. This is where I share the new books I’ve gotten recently.
My resolve to get all my TBR books finished before I got added more lasted for about an hour. I did really well last month, and it all fell apart this week. So, you can revel in my failed goal and check out all the fun books I got! Some of these showed up in December, but most of them are from this week.
Parragon Publishing sent my girls a package this week full of Glitterbelle books, activities, and even a tutu and tiara! I’ll have more info on all that later. It was such a fun box to open! Maybe I’ll do a vlog (do I dare?) and share the goodies inside the box.
I am unbelievably excited to read these three books! Shannon Hale is one of my all time favorite middle grade authors and E.D. Baker writes beautiful stories for kids. I might read Princess in Disguise out loud to my kids. My youngest daughter loves princesses and my older daughter loves adventure. This sounds like the best of both worlds. The Trouble With Magic is the sequel to The Trouble With Toads, which I read last year. I liked the first book, so I’m looking forward to this one!
I have a tremendous amount of patience when it comes to the books I want. I’ve had all the other books in the series for quite some time, but of course, you can’t start a series with book 2, so I waited until Delirium went on sale and then I snatched it up. I now have the entire series and I can’t wait to read them!
I added some really fun books to my grown up book collection recently! Finding His Way Home was a Goodreads First Reads giveaway win. It’s nice and short, so I’m looking forward to reading that some afternoon when I’m in the mood for a romance. The Secrets of Life and Death was sent to me from Random House and is the only review book in this bunch. A Woman of Fortune was free one day, and Golden Daughter was $0.99. I absolutely love the Tales of Goldstone Wood and I can’t wait to read this latest installment! I have a few other books in the series to catch up on first, but it sounds promising!
