Holiday Picture Book Giveaway!

Uncategorized

I am super excited to bring this giveaway to my blog!  Sourcebooks is offering my followers the chance to win two adorable Christmas picture books!

To enter the giveaway, you’ll need to answer this question:  What is the best Christmas gift you ever received?

My Answer:
A porcelain doll.  When I was young, an elderly woman from our church had noticed that I seemed lonely.  I was very shy and had a difficult time making friends.  I also had five brothers, but no sisters.  She made the doll herself, giving it rosy cheeks, brown eyes, and dark hair, just like me.  She left it on our doorstep on Christmas Eve with a note that said she thought I needed a sister, so she made me one.  I still have the doll and the note now, twenty years later.  It is still one of my favorite things.

Luckily, Elmo and the rest of the Sesame Street friends are ready to help!

I think the best gift I ever received was the importance of family and friends that my parents taught me I received this "gift" every day but it was especially prevalent during the holiday season.
