I will be participating in the blog tour for A Tale of Light and Shadow next week (you can see the cover image in my sidebar) and I wanted to read the prequel first. It’s really short, so it only took a few minutes to finish and it takes place several years before the full length novel begins.

Print Length: 43 pages

My Rating: 4 of 5 stars
Enter Atolas, a world where swords and daggers both extend life and end it, where magic is feared by all but a few, and where feuds and friendships influence kingdoms and courtships. In The Fool and the Dragonox, a prequel to A Tale of Light and Shadow, we meet Henry Vestin, his best friend Ruther, his sister, Maggie, and the love of his young life, Isabelle Oslan, as they begin an adventure that will help define their ongoing friendship.
This is a short story that introduces us to the characters and world of
the Tale of Light and Shadow series. After reading this, I’m excited to
start the series. The characters are older than I expected them to be,
but the series would be suitable for anyone ages 12 and up.
