Weekly Update: What I’ve Been Reading the Last Two Weeks

Uncategorized

It’s been two weeks since I posted an update, so it’s going to look like I’ve read a ton.  I’ve been pretty busy with our yard work and other things, but I’ve still been able to read quite a bit.

What I’ve read the last two weeks:

I really liked most of these books, and I’ll be sharing my reviews for them soon.  The Dyerville Tales was really different.  I loved it.  On the Fence was super cute and squeaky clean.  It was the perfect summer read.

What I’m currently reading:

I just started Seven Stories Up this morning and I will probably finish it tonight or tomorrow.  I plan on starting Dangerous tonight as well.  I’ve been looking forward to it for quite some time, so I’m excited to read it.

What I hope to read soon:

I’m reading a lot of YA these days.  I ended up with a bunch of young adult galleys coming in all at the same time, so I’m definitely going to get my fill of teen books!  I’ve heard good things about Better off Friends and I can’t wait to read The Avery Shaw Experiment.  I love Kelly Oram!  She is one of the few self-published authors that I can’t get enough of.  Manor of Secrets sounds very intriguing and Switched at Birthday should be a cute middle grade read.

I’ve just realized that these are all very girly books.  I like girly books, but I like “boy books” too.  I need a good mix to keep myself from getting burned out.

Have you discovered any new books this week?

The Avery Shaw Experiment is one I really want to read. I have a copy, I just haven't fit it in. Better Off Friends is excellent! I loved The Center of Everything! You got a lot of good ones read and coming up to read as well!

Good to hear that Better Off Friends is so good. I've heard that from several people now, so I'm excited to read it!
