Stacking the Shelves #8: Lots of Grown Up Books This Week!

Uncategorized

Welcome to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.  This is where I share the new books I’ve gotten recently.

These are from authors, publishers, NetGalley, and Amazon freebies.

Picture Books:

A big thank you to Barron’s Educational for sending me this beautiful book! My kids now have the mistaken notion that they get to bring stray cats home. 😉

Middle Grade Books:

Deadly Delicious is FREE for Kindle!

Young Adult Books:

I got Killing Ruby Rose as part of the Amazon First program. 🙂

Adult Books:

I mostly got adult books this week. I’m really excited about reading these! A big thank you to Random House for A Broken Kind of Beautiful, and Deseret Book Company for A Diary of Two Mad Black Mormons.

Daily Boutique Deals

A Little Bit Cupid is FREE for Kindle.

I am really excited to read Meant to Be Mine by Becky Wade.  I adored her other book, My Stubborn Heart (review here) and I can’t wait to start reading this one.  I’ll be participating in the blog tour as well.  You can see the badge in my sidebar.  >>>>

A Broken Kind of Beautiful is a story about a young woman that has made it to the top in the modeling industry, but it isn’t what she thought it would be like.  It’s already had some really good reviews, so I’m looking forward to that one as well.

I am unbelievably excited to read The Diary of Two Mad Black Mormons!  My husband thinks I’m a little nutty for all the screaming I did when my request was approved on NetGalley, but c’mon, who wouldn’t want to read this book?  To quote from the jacket flap, “Yes, the authors are bona fide Mormons. And hilarious, too! They call themselves Sistas in Zion.”

Did you get any new books this week?

Nice haul, a great range of different age ranges and genres. I didn't know they turned My Name is Bob into a picture book, will definitely need to look at getting that one in for work. I hope you enjoy your books 🙂 My STS.
