Last Week’s Reads and What I’m Reading Now

Uncategorized

I always have ambitious plans for the week.  Then the week happens and I’m staring the weekend in the face, thinking, “Where did the week go?”

Last week was spring break in our school district, so not a lot of reading happened.  A lot of visiting the zoo and hanging out at the lake and planting flower gardens happened.  However, I did get a bit of reading done.

What I read last week:

I’m participating in the blog tour for Rose and the Lost Princess later this week.  I loved it!  Stop back on Wednesday to see my review and enter to win a paperback!  Fractured Truth was an interesting conclusion to the series.  I’ll be featuring it for the blog tour next week.

What I’m currently reading:

I’m still working on Moonblood, but I plan on finishing it either tonight or tomorrow.  I’m about half way done with The Hero’s Guide to Being an Outlaw.  I’m so sad that this is the last book in the series!  Why does it have to end?

The Sittin Up is one of my hiding spot books, so it is taking me a long time to read even though it’s a pretty short book. I’m reading The Ostrich Conspiracy (Platypus Police Squad #2) to my daughter (who loves it), so it’s also taking a long time to read.

What I hope to read this week:

I’m excited to hopefully read all these books this week.  Ice Dogs is one that I’m particularly interested in.  I loved survival and animal books when I was younger, so I think I’ll love this one too. Linda Urban is one of my favorite authors for young girls, so I’m really hoping to read The Center of Everything before I have to take it back to the library.

I have to squeeze in all the reading that I can for the next two weeks because my brother is coming to visit later in the month and I doubt I’ll be doing much reading then.  I’ll be more focused on horseback riding and hanging out at the lake.  Maybe I’ll even go see the movie Divergent if it’s still playing.
