My Thoughts:

I am a huge fan of Brandon Dorman, and not just because he graduated
from the same university that I did (although I have to admit that it does make me a little biased). All you have to do is look at his
amazing illustrations to know why I love his work so much.

Pirates of the sea is a rhyming, swashbuckling adventure where we get to
follow a group of appropriately disgusting pirates on their quest to
find some buried treasure. The writing is upbeat and comical. The
illustrations boast of Brandon’s unique and energetic style. I just
loved this book, and so did my kids. Any pirate lover will enjoy this sea faring adventure.

I absolutely adore the cover…it just makes me smile with the image depicted and the bright colors used. Though hardly the ideal target audience, I believe a picture book can be enjoyed by one and all…provided you have enough imagination to enjoy the ride. Sounds like a fun journey through the pages, thanks for sharing!

There is a crazy amount of artistry in this book from what I can see. I love when I can see simplicity in books but also love when author's/illustrator's go all out plus this book is about pirates so it's something I will definitely be looking up.

Brandon Dorman is really creative. That's the reason I love his work so much. His illustrations are so fun to look at because there is so much story telling going on in the pictures. I hope you like it!
