About the Author:

Since the publication of Fancy Nancy, Jane O’Connor’s closet now boasts so many boas, tiaras, and sparkly ensembles that sometimes friends do not recognize her on the street. She still resides (that’s a fancy word for lives) in New York City with her family and their canine companion, Arrow. –from the publisher’s website

About the Illustrator:
Robin Preiss Glasser has illustrated such bestsellers as Super-Completely and Totally the Messiest! by Judith Viorst, Daddy’s Girl by Garrison Keillor, and the Fancy Nancy picture books. She lives in Southern California with her family, puppy, and tiara collection. You can visit her online at www.fancynancyworld.com.

My Thoughts:
This story is really cute. It reminded me of Scones and Sensibility, but intended for a slightly younger audience. The illustrations are a nice addition to the story and give children a good visual aid to the words.

This book will appeal to young girls just starting to explore the world of romance.
