The Kaleidoscope Kids, by Terry P. O’Grady and Rick Barrett (Illustrations)
The Kaleidoscope Kids are a group of 10 fairies who come to teach children their shapes, numbers, and colors.
Paperback: 26 pages
Publisher: Kaleidoscope Kids (September 28, 2012)
This book is fairly well done for a self published work. The rhyming text flows pretty well and there are only a couple of spots that trip me up.
In general, I like the artwork. There are a couple of illustrations here and there that don’t quite fit with the rest of the book, but most of them are pretty good. The cover is especially adorable.
The only thing that I really don’t like about the book is the font choice. The entire book’s text is written in a heavy, decorative font that is better in small doses.
